Registration for the 2025 LA BIG 5K is open!

The 2024 LA Big 5K will be held on March 15 and 16, 2025 at Dodger Stadium.

All Headstrong Heroes will receive an official race shirt, finishers medal, race bib with chip timing technology, access to post-race refreshments and more.

This family-friendly 5K is open to participants of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers and strollers. You and your family can experience an iconic run through Los Angeles as you move through beautiful Elysian Park before a rewarding finish set against the backdrop of world-famous Dodger Stadium.

6:00 am — Dodger Stadium Parking Lots Open

6:30 am — Bib Pick-Up Opens in Parking Lot G

7:15 am — Team Photo

8:00 am — LA BIG 5K Race Start

9:45 am — LA 1/2K Kids Run Start

Race Information

In past years the race has begin promptly at 8 am, beginning from the same start line as the annual Los Angeles Marathon, which has taken place the following day. Participants begin lining up for the 5K no earlier than 7 a.m. Runners seed themselves according to expected race pace — quicker runners at the front of the start chute, slower runners and walkers to the back. Stroller walkers, place themselves at the very back of the pack to minimize any disruption of the runners.

AID STATIONS

A fully-staffed aid station featuring water and portable toilets is located near the mid-point of the LA BIG 5K course.

THE FINISH

Once runners cross the Finish Line of the LA BIG 5K, they will collect their post-race refreshments and other goodies before entering the Finish Festival to be reunited with friends and family.

Getting to the Race

Due to street closures for the LA BIG 5K, only two entrances will be open to Dodger Stadium for participants, the Sunset Gate A., accessible from Sunset Blvd, and the Downtown Gate E, accessible via CA-110. These gates will open at 6:00 am PDT. (Note: The Golden State Gate, accessible via I-5, will be closed.

Please allow yourself plenty of time to get into Dodger Stadium and pick up your race packet before the start at 8:00 am. Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up opens at 6:30 am.

The LA BIG 5K course shares a Start Line with the Los Angeles Marathon and winds through Elysian Park to finish steps from Dodger Stadium.
